A relocation software company and one of its partners turned to SD3 for a system which would enable them to more closely integrate their data and operations with their value chain partners.
The client need began with the request of a business partner for faster, more efficient data sharing via a B2B integration setup.
SD3 held a kickoff meeting to establish a project plan and agree on project milestones. XML and Microsoft's Biztalk Server software for the B2B infrastructure between the 2 partners was then selected.
Next we defined the information flows and the communication protocols between the two organizations. Then, SD3 designed and developed the required software components and configured the Biztalk Server.
After successful testing the system was released into production. The OS was Windows 2000 Server, the database was SQL Server, and the primary languages used were Visual Basic, COM and ASP.
Both the client and their partner were happy with the improvements that better communication made in their working relationship. Data is shared more quickly and accurately, and the cost of running the system at both ends has been reduced.
